Got me looking at older french hot hatches again. If this is in as good shape as it looks it's a little gem. If it was closer to where I live I'd check it out, these are getting rarer by the day. If it's anywhere near KirkyV he should take a look.

Honestly I'd rather av a Clio 182 but damn that is tempting.

This has to be one of the few hot hatches to make a Clio 172/182 size look big in comparison.

Does look like an absolute riot, and for 1300 is not unreasonably priced.

I duno why but the Clios dont interest me as much. Maybe driving one would change my mind though. I'll have to some day.

Probably because they look like Micras. I haven't a driven Clio but I have driven a 106 GTI and damn it is good.

... It's only fifty miles from me. I'm gonna go look at insurance quotes and cry.

I'll be test driving a few warm/hot hatches in the coming months so I'll hopefully get a go in a 106 and clio.

My best quote was £840 with a massive excess.

It's still over £1000 for me, with a £500 excess. I tried putting the excess up, but it actually started getting more expensive past the £750 mark.

Excess was £825 on mine. I have a £750 excess on the Panda. I basically got my insurance cheap by betting that I wouldnt need to claim.

That's how most people do it, really. I'm fairly sure the excess only applies to repairs on your own vehicle, anyway, so if you can get comprehensive for less than TPF&T, there's really no reason not to go for it.

Yeah it's only if you are at fault in a crash and someone has to claim off your insurance, or you claim on your own vehicle I think. I have no plans to crash into anyone else and if I damaged the Panda I'd fix it myself anyway.
